We arrived in London!

We’ve Landed in London!

The flight was uneventful, we slept most of the way.  It was great to have access to the executive lounge to freshen up after the red eye, thanks Michael!  We will be spending the next few days at our friends house just outside of London.  Tonight we went to a local pub (The Swan in Ash) for some traditional English fish and chips. It was great!   Tomorrow we are heading into London for the day to meet up with James’ childhood friend for a tour of the city.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Leaving on a Jet Plane!!
We are leaving in just a few hours!  We are excited to get our journey started! It has been a very hectic 24hrs…. Due to the civil unrest in Egypt, the Canadian Government issued a travel alert to avoid all non essential travel to Cairo.  So instead of getting things ready for our trip, we’ve been cancelling parts of our trip and booking alternate arrangements.  It has all worked out!  We are staying in London with our friends for a couple extra days, thanks Eric and Isabelle! We are then flying directly to Addis a couple days earlier that planned.   So it is good bye to the Pyramids, and hello to Stonehenge!

Our Journey to Isaac

We have 5 more sleeps before we leave to meet our son (to be) for the first time in Ethiopia. Our court date is on Feb. 9th and we pray everything goes smoothly. We decided to create this blog to keep our family and friends up to date on our journey.
